#Sexy #Thriller Let Mercy Come by @ZeeMonodee #BookReview #Giveaway

BOOK REVIEW
Zee delivered on the final book in this series in this story that kind of reminded me of Burn Notice. This books asks the question: When you’ve been a spy and part of the Agency, is it possible to be ever rid of your involvement? Will it shadow you for the rest of your life? And by the way, why did you get burned in the first place?
I love that the lid is lifted on some of the Agencies secrets that have been hinted at previously. Change is afoot and heads will roll, literally and figuratively. Is Valeriya about to be oen of those heads? Not if Graeme can help it.
If you enjoy spy thrillers, then you really have to grab the books in this series.

Let Mercy Come by +Zee Monodee
Corpus Brides #3: The Conclusion
Romantic Suspense

Let mercy come…and wash away our
sins…
A woman on the run
Valeriya Morozova has managed to carve out a do-over for herself away from the clutches of the Corpus agency. The one formerly known as Anastasiya still lives on the edge, paranoid anyone will bust her secret and turn her in. Agency leaders believe her to be at the heart of the failed mutinous plot to overtake command, and the price of that betrayal—never mind that she is innocent—will be her life, paid in blood.
A man who’s always followed orders
In his decades inside the Corpus agency, case officer and former super-spy Graeme Whitman—aka Scott—has always paid heed to rules and obeyed all his orders. When he is chosen to bring the traitor Anastasiya back into the fold, Scott knows it will
be just one more job he will successfully complete. After all, doing the right
thing is atonement for your past mistakes, right?
Secrets running deep
Scott has secrets; who doesn’t? But he isn’t prepared for
the full cupboard of skeletons Anastasiya carries with her…starting with the
reason why she ran away from the agency. The more he digs, the less he is
certain of, until he comes to ask himself why everyone has falsely painted her
as a hard-hearted sociopath.
But is Anastasiya a victim, or a skilful manipulator? When
her past collides with her present, the future as both she and Scott conceived
it shatters. They’ve answered the call of duty all their lives—will they have
to make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of love?
EXCERPT
She closed the distance between them to go stand right in front of him. She had her out; would he listen to her, though?
“Then let us go, Scott. Antonia and I can disappear. You don’t need to put your life on hold because of us. Seth, your son, he needs you.”
“I can’t do that,” he murmured.
“Why not? If this is atonement for you, then I’m asking you to let us go. Do this and you’ll be free.”
“I don’t want to be free.”
She blinked. “What?”
“Not when you are, too.”
He’d completely lost her there. She glanced up into his face, and the breath whooshed out of her at what she saw on his face. Pain, but of a different kind. The type that accompanied unrequited longing for another person.
She shook her head. I must be getting delusional. Why would Scott—
All thoughts screeched to a halt when he brought a big hand up and gingerly cradled one side of her jaw in that warm palm.
“Forgive me for saying this, Ana, but I’ve wanted a future with you ever since the first day I saw you.”
A small puff of air escaped her.
He smiled as his eyes took a faraway glint.
“You looked so prim and proper in that white lab blouse. Still so young, but
your eyes… They said you had lived a long life already, that you had a lot
concealed behind the façade you showed the world. Then you looked up and asked
me—”
“…did you have a choice to be here?” She remembered that instant probably more vividly than he did.
He gave a lazy blink, as of coming back into the moment to stare at her in the now. “I had one back then, and I have one now. That day, I chose duty. Today, I choose you, Ana.”
“Scott—”
“Graeme. My name is Graeme.” He rubbed the pad of his thumb along her cheekbone. “Say it. I want to hear you say it.”
She parted her lips. He’d trusted her with his real identity, and if she believed all he’d said until now…
“Graeme,” she said softly.
He closed his eyes as he took in that sound; at least, that’s what it seemed like to her.
“Graeme, please…”
He opened his eyes and peered at her. “What is it?”
When his touch on her cheek lost some of its pressure, all the life inside of her ebbed away like the tide gathering for a tsunami. It took everything from her. If she lost him now, when he’d showed her how much he wanted—no, needed!—her, she would die.
She had to show him. That’s when she reckoned her body had gone stiff from the second he’d touched her, petrified in surprise, and he must have gathered her response as being this aloofness in her body language.
He was wrong. Oh, so wrong!
First step; she’d have to take it.
So Valeriya listened to her heart, and she brought a hand up to clasp his where it had started to recede from her jaw. She pressed her cheek into his palm, soaking in his warmth.
“Graeme, please…” She glanced up into his eyes. “Kiss me.”

Another #sexy thriller from @ZeeMonodee #BookReview Before The Morning

BOOK REVIEW

If Amelia Jamison is the female Jason Bourne (see Walking The Edge) then Rayne Cheltham must be the female Ethan Hunt. Move over Ludlum and co, we have a new Spy Thriller author in town.

What I love about this fantastic and intriguing series by Zee Monodee is that she writes female characters that are both enviable and aspirational. These women kick ass. For real. They are tough and are not afraid to show it. In their line of business, the only way to be is tough.

Saying that, the men are by no means push overs. Ash is brilliant as a tortured hero. Just the way I love them. LOL. The romance between Ash and Rayne sizzles and trust me, you won’t be able to put this one down. The action is practically non-stop. You’d think you were watching a movie unfold. Just brilliant.

BookExcerpt

Ash blinked. He had to be dreaming. Except that the metal band on his finger felt all too real—heavy, smooth, warm, and tight. He glanced at the ring, then at Rayne. It took two people to get married, and she must be the other half of the equation. He didn’t need to see the glinting, burnished piece of gold on her ring finger to put two and two together.

Except, here, two and two equalled a whole muck up of twisted shit. They were married? Since when? How? And worse, had they consummated the union?

He snorted softly. Who was he kidding? Of course they’d consummated their wedding. The only thing between him and Rayne lately amounted to sex, the strings of their friendship just pale, sketchy ghosts grappling for hold where none existed to be grappled.

As he raked his gaze over her, he caught sight of the deep red hickeys on her neck. The confirmation he sought. Damn. He clearly remembered lowering his head to kiss the unmarred column of her neck earlier during the evening when they’d stopped in front of the Bellagio to watch the play of the water fountains. These love bites had happened sometime between leaving the Vegas strip and him waking up with a headache, and he doubted they’d done the deed in public. They must’ve slept together once back at the house.

The pounding in his head intensified to a persistent throbbing against every square inch of his skull. Seeing this ring on his hand had relegated the pain to oblivion—he’d heard shock could do that to a person.

But, married? “What the hell is this, Rayne?”

His voice sounded flat, and cold. She blinked; her eyes then grew wide, and she parted her lips. He thought he saw the lower lip quiver. She brought her arms up, wrapped them around her in a protective hug.

“I…I knew you’d think we made a mistake.”

The shimmer of tears glimmered in her big, blue-grey eyes. Damn it, she wouldn’t cry, would she? Because of him? He’d just been curt with her, but he’d woken up to find out he’d gotten married. Try as he might, he couldn’t remember getting hitched, or even proposing, or agreeing, to marry her. Bloody hell—most men would’ve gone bat shit ballistic for less.

She gave a small hiccup and brought her hand up to rub her open palm against her nose. Bad signs—she would soon unleash the waterworks. Damn.

“Rayne…” He pulled himself up on the mattress, into a sitting position. Reaching out, he placed his hands on her shoulders and squeezed gently. “Calm down. Just give me a minute here, okay?”

She nodded, let her arms drop to her sides and blinked hard a few times, as if to keep her tears in check.

“Tell me something,” he said as he released her. “Are we really married?”

She bit her lip, and nodded.

#Sexy Spy Thriller: Walking The Edge by @ZeeMonodee #BookReview

WalkingTheEdge_BannerTitle: Walking The Edge
Author: +Zee Monodee
Series: Corpus Brides, Book 1
Genre: Romantic Suspense

BOOK REVIEW

If Jason Bourne was a woman he’d be Amelia Jamison. Seriously. This is one kick-ass spy adventure with some romance thrown in. I love stories with characters with amnesia and I love that not having her memories made Amelia vulnerable and as we find out more about her, we get to see a different kind of person. We are taken on a journey as Amelia discovers more about herself and her relationship with Gerard. I really can’t tell you more without giving away the plot. This a fabulous story for fans of spy thrillers. Just strap on your seat belts and enjoy the ride.

WtE1600x2400Blurb:

Walking the edge
The next step might be the last…

A woman without a past
Left amnesiac after an accident, Amelia Jamison’s instincts slowly rise from the depths of oblivion to question her life as the wife of a cold, manipulating and distant man. Wisps of a dream show her another man she may have known intimately, but is he a memory, or a figment of her imagination?

A man with too much information
After many aliases, today Gerard Besson is simply a police commissaire in Marseille. When a mysterious woman starts to follow him, he is suspicious. But things aren’t what they seem, and as he reluctantly gets closer to her, dredges of his painful, buried past spring to light and make him question her identity.

Each seems to have led two different lives
But neither is prepared for what awaits them when they cross the fine line between knowing your true self and that of your alter ego.

Danger is the name of the game, and as it catches up with them in the French Provence, both know they better be ready for the inevitable fall.

EXCERPT

As he turned to scan the other side of the road, something—or someone—lunged at him and knocked him into the solid garage door. Reflex kicking in, he took a deep breath to fortify himself against the stinging pain in his body. Honing his senses, he lashed out on the side from which his opponent had assaulted him.
His fist connected with a jaw and he heard a grunt. Male. So not the woman from the bistro. Could she have sent someone after him? He had no time to ponder—a heavy booted foot collided smack into his stomach and sent him to his knees. The gun dropped from his hand. He could barely see the man kick the Sig away. Now’s the time to hit him.
But he wasn’t fast enough. The thug smashed a hard blow to Gerard’s temple. Black dots danced before his eyes.
It would take more than this to knock him out, though. He looked up and staggered an exhale—he’d be no match against the gun his assailant yanked from inside his jacket. A weapon with a silencer screwed on. Definitely a man out for a kill.
Time stood still while he tried to breathe and remain conscious.
And then something happened so quickly he had trouble grasping it. The guy howled and went down, his free hand clutching his neck as Gerard caught sight of a cherry-red flash.
The thug lifted and aimed his gun. Another red burst haloed the first.
Two shots rang, and the man slumped.
Gerard moved his gaze to where the flashes had appeared. His Sig lay in the hands of the one who’d saved him.
Legs braced, back straight, she held the gun in both hands, the left cupping the right. Wisps of smoke gently drifted from the barrel.
He blinked when he focused on her face.
It can’t be. The same woman who’d met him at the bistro. Yet, at the same time, not her. Her features looked different, harder, and, he realized with dread, completely focused yet expressionless.
Something told him to take another look. She hadn’t dropped the gun, and for an insane moment, he wondered if she’d aim it his way and shoot. There had been no hesitation in her two shots, and, as his eyes took in the way she held the Sig—one hand curled around the grip and the other anchoring it—realization clattered in his brain.
She held it like a professional, and merde if she hadn’t shot like a professional, too.
Finally, she lowered the weapon and stepped up to him.
From his previous deduction, he hadn’t expected her to be trembling or bumbling her way about, but still, the efficiency with which she sidestepped the body and crouched at Gerard’s side sent warning bells off in his head.
“Who the hell are you?” he asked, aware the thought had made it into words.

“Oh.”

He grasped her waist with a hand, steadying her and licked the anal whorl again. She moaned and thrust back against him. With his other hand Simon reached between her legs. He groaned. She was hot and wet. Margaret spread her legs as he touched her vulva, further spreading the liquid coating her. He tickled her entrance, teasing it with the tip of his index finger. Margaret moaned. She rocked her body, searching for his elusive touch. He pushed the digit into her depths.

“Simon.”

He inserted another finger and rotated them; searching for that spot he once knew to drive women wild. She moved against him and he realized that his hold on her hip was almost punishing. He loosened his fingers and dove into the crack of her bottom, licking and tasting it with ravenous hunger. Maggie cried out, no doubt not expecting the sudden assault. He pushed another finger into her, pumping them in and out hard and fast. She muttered his name, desperately moving against him and searching for release.

Simon pulled back. He removed his fingers from her core and took them into his mouth. His taste buds exploded with her tangy yet sweet flavor. Harshly, he spun her around. He glanced up at her. Her chest heaved, her heavy breasts moving with each breath. The rosy nipples extended and beckoning him to suck on them. At the same time, her pussy called to him. It’s musky scent permeating the air.

“I want to eat you, Maggie. Put you on a silver platter and feast on you, all of you, from top to bottom,” he said, his voice coming out husky.

Margaret held out her hand. Simon took it and she tugged. He got to his feet, and looked down at her, confused. Her inquisitive hands, so small compared to his, reached beneath his shirt, tugging. He aided her efforts and slipped the offending garment over his head glad that he did not possess a cravat, a vest, or any other item that would keep her hands from touching him. She stepped closer to him and rested her lips on his chest. He heard her inhale, as if she too was committing his scent to memory.

A soft sigh escaped her lips before she moved, dropping tiny kisses across his flesh. He growled as her teeth found his nipple and bit it. Margaret chuckled and repeated the process, lavishing the hurt with the flat of her tongue and making him wonder who was feasting on who. Lower and lower she dropped, following the trail of hair that curled to his cock. His breath caught as she stopped at the hem of his trousers and glanced up at him. Darkened by passion her eyes resembled a pine tree wet after a furious storm. A devious smile lighted her face as she easily unfastened his clothes and drew his cock out from within. Her warm breath caressed his throbbing member as she silently grasped it.

“Margaret.”

“You’re not the only one that’s hungry, Simon.”

Defined as weird since she was about eight, Elyzabeth honors the title by making up songs about her chores, doodling stars and flowers on any blank sheet of paper and talking to her dog whenever he feigns interest.

Losing the battle to the voices in her head is her favorite pastime after annoying her younger sister with her singing. Writing stories full of passion and emotion where love conquers all is her happy pill and she’ll forgo sleep to make her readers live the dream.

Want a sexy Irish Dom? Try KINKY BET by Maggie Nash

KINKY BET by Maggie Nash, reviewed by Jennifer Lynne

I’ve mentioned before that I am very choosy when it comes to romance with a BDSM theme. In my opinion not every author in this genre is able to differentiate between erotic kinky pleasure and plain old abuse.

Luckily I found KINKY BET by Aussie author Maggie Nash, a highly sensual BDSM story that falls clearly into the sexy pleasure category – and with a healthy dose of quirky fun adding even more enjoyment to the mix. This story about a bet between friends and the resultant sexual liaison between Erica and her delicious Dom kept me interested from the very first page.

There’s just something about a sexy Irishman with a thick brogue accent, don’t you think?

Conal had me on side from the moment he entered the room and took control at the BDSM retreat where Erica has been sent as punishment for losing the bet.

Erica’s need to find a place where she can feel “normal” at last, is an emotion that I believe resonates with many readers, regardless of whether or not we are into the BDSM scene. The heroine’s transition into “Enya” seemed natural and I love that her desire to be dominated was on her terms and no one else’s:

“I take it you enjoyed your first lesson, Enya.”

I’m allowed to answer him, aren’t I? He asked me a question, so I guess it’s okay. “It would have been better if I’d had an orgasm.”

His eyebrow lifted.

Oh shit. Was she meant to have kept quiet? Was it a rhetorical question? Oh what the heck? “It would have been better if I’d had an orgasm—Sir!”

Conal threw back his head and laughed loudly.

The sense of humour that permeated this story really helped me connect with the two main characters and I found myself rooting for their relationship as the story progressed.

Overall a thoroughly enjoyable, romantic and highly erotic read. I give KINKY BET 5 stars.

Have you ever participated in a kinky bet? Whether you won or lost the bet, we’d love you to share the sexy details right here!

Who knew losing a bet could be this much fun?

Erica Nielsen agreed to a bet with her best friend, but she never imagined losing would involve a weekend of punishment at Dangerous Liaisons, a BSDM retreat. But was it really punishment being trained by a sexy Irishman who takes her on a sexual journey of a lifetime?

Conal Brennan agrees to help a young woman find her submissive nature. He always enjoys being the one in control, but one look at the Nordic blonde he calls ‘Fire girl’ and he’s not sure who’s controlling whom.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of light BDSM, spanking, bondage, voyeurism, group sex, public sex, M/F/M, some F/F action and a whole lot of kink!

A New Hot and Hunky God of Love

Sex Club SecretsThe third novella in the Gods of Love series is Sex Club Secrets, and this menage a trois story is as hot as the others! The owner of the Secrets Club is yet another drool-worthy Greek God, whose deepest desire is to satisfy those who suffer from unrequited love. He knows what they yearn for, and is determined to give it them. Add in a super-hot body, and that’s one sexy package!

The author, Jennifer Lynne, has an amazing talent for blending hot sex scenes with a sweet love affair, engaging the reader on every level. Love and lust are such a potent combo! She does however, carefully omit any pertinent details about or the physical address of this oh-so-discreet Secrets Club. So while her characters are quite sated, the reader is left quite titillated. And I hear there’s one more story in this series coming soon…

Review: Dark Powers: Sexy Romantic Suspense

When former Baltimore PD detective, Ben Walker, is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a young waitress and part-time co-ed from a picturesque town on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the last thing he wants is to partner up with the missing girl’s sister, Sage Arnold. In his opinion, family members, especially attractive ones, only interfere with objective pursuit of the facts and Sage will be a liability.

Sage Arnold isn’t sure Ben is the man for the job, despite the fact that he saved her from being run over by a truck in the parking lot of Decorah Security just minutes before their formal introductions. He’s irritable, arrogant, sexy–and claims he can communicate with dead people. With all the craziness in her family, the last thing she wants to add to the mix is an ex-cop gone to the dark side.

Ben has a dark secret to go with his dark powers. Guilt over his inability to stop a series of murders on an S & M cruise ship while he was the chief of security dogs his every step. How can he possibly become involved with someone when he is so unworthy?

Sage has had a series of relationships that have gone from bad to worse. She blames her mother’s irresponsible behavior and bad role modeling for her poor choices and for her sister’s disappearance. Sage is never letting another man take control of her life and emotions again.

Despite her misgivings, she accepts Ben as the man for the job. For his part, Ben is forced to acknowledge Sage might be helpful in the small town where everyone knows what you had for lunch, much less who you’ve been sleeping with.

They set off from Baltimore to Doncaster, the tiny waterside tourist trap. After a series of apparent attacks on Sage’s life, they are forced to stay in the same motel room for her safety. As the probe into the missing sister’s disappearance and possible death continues, attempts on Sage’s life escalate, as does the sexual tension between the two.

Dark Powers is a tale of small town politics mixed with shadowy secrets. The twists and turns of the plot and the growing romance between Ben and Sage are seamlessly interwoven by a gifted story teller. A compelling read, with just enough kink to ratchet up the sexual tension without overwhelming the story, Dark Powers is a real page turner. As one of a series revolving around the Decorah Security Agency, Dark Powers can be read as a stand-alone book. The author provided enough background to give the reader continuity without intruding into what is occurring on stage. However, after reading this novel, I’m going back to find the other ones. I highly recommend this book and give it five hot stars.

So when a dear friend recommended THE PASSION OF MARY MAGDALEN by Elizabeth Cunningham, I promptly bought it in February, 2011, looked at the beautiful cover of this 620 page book and told myself to get back to work. Now I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to read it.  Then again, perhaps things really do happen for a reason. But I digress.

WARNING: If you are offended by feminist interpretations of the Bible, do not read on.

Elizabeth Cunningham, descendant of nine (9) generations of Episcopal priests, knows whereof she speaks in all things biblical. My impression of this author is that she literally ate, drank, slept and breathed Bible stories from birth—no from conception. And, rather than hew to the party line, so to speak, she listened for the voice of the women in these tales and found them missing. In THE PASSION OF MARY MAGDALEN, Ms. Cunningham gave Mary Magdalen and the other two Marys of the New Testament, not only voices, but brains, bodies, spirituality and backstories.

This is the second in the Maeve Chronicles, but you do not have to read the books in order. The author provides an excellent summary of the first book in a non-intrusive manner. She gives the reader enough information to understand where we are as the story begins and weaves in more later. I never felt lost reading the story. I felt as if I was firmly anchored in Mary’s point of view throughout the book, in large part because of the author’s skillful use of the first person.

We know from the New Testament that Mary Magdalen was a prostitute; what we don’t know is where she came from, why she was in that occupation, and what her relationship was to Yeshua, aka Jesus. The first half of this book tells us about Mary’s life as a prostitute and takes place in Rome. Born a Celt named Maeve, she escaped certain death in her home country, only to be captured by a tribe intent on using her as a breeding vessel. She escapes again, only to be drugged by the sea captain. The book opens with her in an open air market in Rome where her captor is extolling her wares. Stripped, poked and prodded in the public setting, she maintains her Celtic backbone and lives up to her bright red hair by cursing the man in three different languages. Amused by her antics and intrigued by her body and brain, the brothel owner and madam knows a good value when she sees one and buys Maeve.

Maeve becomes a craftsman at her trade, taking pride in her work as a whore. Sought after by generals, senators and wealthy land holders, she becomes a favorite of the patrons and the other women in the brothel. The only problem is she isn’t just a worker bee; she’s also a priestess of Isis and strange, supernatural things happen around her at inexplicable times. It is a bawdy, fun, gripping read and the details of daily life in 1st Century Rome are seamlessly woven in without becoming a history lecture. I felt as if I was there at the feasts and in the Temple of Isis. Throughout it all, Maeve never forgets the young man she fell in love with in her home country: Esus.

The second half of the book takes place in Jerusalem, Israel, where Maeve has taken up residence after a series of misadventures in Rome and being bought, sold and finally released into the wild. Setting up a Temple of Isis in a Jewish country occupied by Romans is not an easy affair. While she has financial backing from Joseph of Arimathea, support from some of her fellow whores from the Roman brothel, and a flair for finding hidden sacred springs, she still has to stay under the radar of the religious and Roman dictators. True to her profession and her calling, her temple is offers healing and sexual services, for men and barren women. Between cleaning up an old estate and vineyards, she visits the Temple searching for any sign, any word of Esus. Here the author excels in providing the reader with insights into the people of the day, including the larger than life figures in the New Testament. She also gives us a window into the era’s religious practices, including animal sacrifices, and gives us an idea of how power can corrupt all, even those who claim to act on behalf of Yahweh. Everyone has an agenda in Jerusalem, and the only ones in charge with swords and spears are the Romans.

I won’t spoil the story for you, let me just say that if you want to see, smell, taste, hear and touch that era from the eyes of a very important woman in our collective history, I highly recommend this book.

Review –

We all know where we were on the morning of September 11th, 2001 when the world as we know it altered beyond comprehension. I was three thousand miles away, watching the live news coverage, horrified as the towers of the World Trade Center collapsed. Less than a year earlier, I sat on a bench in the plaza at WTC with my youngest daughter, eating hot dogs from a street vendor and marveling at the energy vibrating through the air.

Two months post 9/11 I was back in the city, this time with my oldest daughter. By then, much work had been done at the WTC site, but no amount of debris clearing could erase the overwhelming sense of sadness that had settled over the city. Healing had begun, but the wound was still raw, and far from being scabbed over. We visited the site to pay our respects to those who’d lost their lives there, and where once I had been moved by the energy of commerce surrounding me, I felt as if a black hole had opened up and swallowed everything good that had once occupied the space.

Hot Heads takes place ten years post 9/11, but Griff Muir, a New York City firefighter, is still dealing with the emotional trauma of that day. Through Griff’s eyes, we experience the horror of the event, and the day-to-day struggle to deal with the emotional upheaval so many brave first responders went through.

It’s human nature, following a tragic event, to reassess what’s important in our lives. Brave enough to risk his life amid collapsing skyscrapers, Griff struggles with a personal truth that threatens to bring down everything he holds dear, and he’d rather run into a burning building than admit he’s in love with Dante, his best friend and a fellow firefighter.

Griff can only stand by and watch as Dante digs himself deeper and deeper into financial trouble. When Dante finally admits he needs Griff’s help, the solution he’s come up with is Griff’s private dream and a public nightmare that might destroy them both if Griff can’t find a way out.

Extremely well written, the emotions will tug at your heart, and you’ll want to keep a fire extinguisher handy because the sex scenes are guaranteed to light your fire.

Damon Suede takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster and reminds us that bravery and heroism aren’t allocated according to sexual orientation, and that sometimes, loving might be the bravest thing of all.

I was simply blown away by this book. I give it –

Five Smoking Star Review: Aphrodite Calling by Jennifer Lynne

When my blog mate told me she had written a book about a transgendered woman, I wondered how she would approach this highly charged and difficult topic in an erotic romance. How do you as a woman enter into the head of someone who has had a sex change operation from male to female and make it feel real? I was blown away by Jennifer’s ability to get into the deep point of view of the character and to keep it erotic and heart felt. The heart of the story is really about being lonely and wanting to be loved. Himeros, one of Aphrodite’s underlings, is at a crossroad in his life as a god. He’s jaded, seen it all. Gina has decided to go to her high school reunion, not as the male she was in her teens, but as the stunning new female she has become. She, too, is at a crossroads. At the reunion, she feels overwhelmed and ridiculed and silently cries out for help. Himeros hears her call and appears at her side, sweeping her away from the gaping crowd, to a penthouse made for love. No spoilers here, but I will tell you this is hot hot hot–and heartfelt. Kudos to Jennifer for taking up this challenge and doing a magnificent job in telling the story!
